Your memory is called revisionist history. I challenged the claim that the then K7 would be the fastest processor in the world. As it turned out I was right. I reported the CuMine would match the Athlon in Integer and come close in FP and I was labeled a liar. That rude person sure looked like a complete idiot when the news came out that the CuMine beat the Athlon in BOTH! Although the Athlon displays excellent performance, it trails the Intel CuMine in most benchmarks. In fact the 800MHz Athlon performs about on a par with the 750 or 733MHz CuMines.
