Stuart, jumping in and out can be dangerous, especially if the stock starts to run away on you. You wouldn't have to miss too many one day jumps to miss alot of gains. ie the $22 Canadian jump it had a little while ago. By not owning the stock that day, you would have given up gains from multiple jumping in and out. If you feel the stock has good long term potential, hold it. If you are a day trader, take your money and look at the next stock, you'd have to be following a lot. I have tried it both ways, and have better luck holding the good stocks. Just my thoughts.
Regards.
