IBD says MTC spurned $49/share offer Friday's Investor's Business Daily reported that SEC filings related to the Monsanto/Pharmacia merger confirmed that Monsanto had turned down a $49/share offer from a European company prior to entering into the Pharmacia agreement. I guess this is progress -- MTC successfully avoided $60 deal (AHP), $49 deal (Novartis??), and is now trading around $35. hmmmm...
