Hi longtom, the difference between Sept 99 and today is like day and night. The dollar index is trading at multi year highs today. Why shouldn't Gold and the XAU trade at multi year lows? In September 99, the dollar index was falling. As a position player, I try to look at things objectively and keep my emotions in the bedroom. :)

Gold is a currency.
