It's interesting that Hitachi has to have help in proving that they didn't copy Rambus technology. This actually makes it look like Rambus is correct in their lawsuit. If Hitachi doesn't have anything to hide then why the help? Why don't they just present where they did get the design ideas?

It would prove an unmistakable fact and have unimaginable consequences should Rambus win the suit against Hitachi. All memory manufactures would be compelled to pay "royalties $" to Rambus. Wow!! Imagine the consequences the share price would reflect? Lol!
Giving help yo Hitachi is the smart play. The is no other at this point. But time will always tell the tale. Should Rambus gain momentum in their brief, with the suit acting as leverage, look for Rambus to negotiate "deals". I don't expect the suit to run full course. This thing will be settle behind closed doors and big announcements will come. Should the suit run full course all the memory man. will end up paying. The stock price in the short term will come under attack with FUD articles(leveraging the share price against all holders) In the end Rambus will control their road, destiny, and share price.
