Michael,

Verifone and PRMO are different stories -- Verifone is mostly a hardware company -- besides, I can't see what good Verifone is for HP either.

I think it would be difficult for IBM or a VAN such as Sterling or Harbinger to buy premenos because Templar is actually designed to eliminate the need for dedicted lines and VAN services. The internal marketing conflicts would be too great. And that leaves the Premenos translator -EDI Open which is a good product, but everybody already has their own translator solution.

I'm afraid PRMO is going to have to go it alone. Even if a company with no conflicting VAN legacy like HP decides it wants to diversify and get into the electronic commerce arena, I don't think it would consider premenos because of it's strong ties with IBM and the AS 400 camp.

With 50 Million or so in cash, and good core products and technology, PRMO should be able to go it alone and succeed.
