The market was already suffering from a serious decline without his damn idiotic comments.

Rarely does anything on these boards piss me off, but this thread of thought (or lack thereof) is supremely annoying. What company grew from nothing to the next generation cell phone technology based largely on his managerial and technical skill? Do you really think the employees, many of whom are multimillionaires due to his vision, and in it for many years, are going to get uptight over what the stock does in the next month or two? Did you really think the stock was going to keep going up, up, up without a pullback? (I have no beef with short time horizon margin investors EXCEPT when they think a company should be managed to satisfy their needs.) What do you suggest he do when he knows that the next quarter is going to be weaker than the last? Lie? Perhaps(!) his language choice could have been better, but did you complain when you first heard it. No, because you didn't know it would have such an effect (and of course the tanking of the entire stock market had nothing to do with Qualcomm's drop); the stock market is fickle, and not entirely predictable. I am very glad he's in charge, and not you.

If you want to criticize Dr. J, do it with some substance. No whining. Respond however you want. I've just found my first ignore.
