taxman: Solaris 8 is missing the target if that is their aim. Worse they would be aiming at the wrong target. In fact they are not aiming at MSFT but at Linux. MSFT has too many legacy customers that won't be dislodged by a Solaris give away. You think after waiting all these months NT customers aren't content to wait a few weeks for a system that has received great reviews. On the other hand getting out ahead of the Linux (subset of Unix) charge might be worth "giving away" Solaris 8. JFD
