I am purely guessing here but maybe they are trying to support the price or at least appease long term shareholders. This would also accommodate the shareholders that may want to sell. From the word I got, there are not a lot of expectations for this quarterly announcement, and the present price reflects that. However, if the earnings are below expectations then who knows what will happen. But if INTL does start doing what they expect in the next few quarters then as INTL CEO believes the present price does not reflect the True Long Term Value.

I hope the CEO knows what he is holding in his cards -- Tara :-)
