Steven is right about stock option vs TSM's way of printing its own money.

On the other hand, stock split is purely psychological and a number game. However, since everybody loves it in the crazy market, why not take advantage of it.

TSM has split twice since its IPS at the end of 1997. If AMKR reaches 40 after the earning announcement followed by a split, and better with a new coverage by a major analyst, it is not impossible that the stock may be pushed to 50 by the news.
