This second award follows on the heels of promising results seen during the first phase of the work with Dr. Azzazy. The project makes use of CEL-SCI's L.E.A.P.S.(tm) platform technology in combination with DNA vaccine technology. L.E.A.P.S. is a novel technology, which permits the control of the immune response, which is elicited by a vaccine. In so doing, this technology may make possible the development of new vaccines and treatments. The L.E.A.P.S. technology is being developed in seven collaborations for various cancers, infectious diseases and also heart disease.
