It depends on how tight you manage them. I have seen one buddy end up buying a momo stock @18 and watch it climb to 47 and end up selling @25... on another he bought @45 and watched it goto 65 now trading @50... When you have a profit you should lock it. Just like you said you don't go broke making a profit...
