Blue, I only watched some of the Super Bowl intermittently. Missed the "MONEY OUT THE WAZOO" ad you mentioned, it sounds funny. The .com Ads went by in a blur "homestyle" or "interconnecting diverse groups of people" style same/same. Wanting Rock and Roll, saw only some thing with Queen's operatics for Superbowl that should've been muted Before it comes on! Agree with you what a waste of big money for dotcoms, doubt too many in the audience were in any shape 2B scribbling down url's LOL. No tickers worth writing down, a horrible halftime. It's been done better other years IMHO, but it was still fun.
Heard some talk over the weekend about the stock market will be going down because none of the Market Bellewether teams are playing this year LOL. Looks like that's holding true today. Wussup with that?
Critique aside, the holiday fun weekend the Superbowl's become is always nice. It's like a Valentines Day for you guys. Hope you had a Happy Superbowl Sunday!
The funniest thing i saw was yesterday on CNBC Sunday morning (i don't have cable, but we went away for the weekend so i was watching it) ... the actor Brian Denehey was on there, and he said he is a former Stockbroker and that his desk was once next to Martha Stewart's. When they asked him if he plays the market since becoming an actor now he said "Oh no, my job is to make the money and it's someone elses job now to take care of it!" He's done rather nicely, he said. Now THAT was something made me LOL, betcha U would've laughed too!
HOLD ONTO THE BAR,
Joan
