JAN 31, 2000, M2 Communications - Ameritrade Holding Corp, an online
brokerage, has partnered with InterSystems Corp to enable it to
introduce a range of new services in 2000.

Ameritrade already uses InterSystems' Cache e-DBMS database software
as the engine for its Back Office System (BOS), which manages the
brokerage's interactions with clearing firms and banks for daily
trading transactions.

Now Ameritrade is working with InterSystems to provide customers with
real-time account balances and support of international trading. In
addition, Ameritrade plans to leverage the capabilities of the Cache
e-DBMS software to provide its brokers and clearing house information
users with easy access to the BOS application via a secure intranet in
2000.
