Since you are into Intel...read this will ya..(you must have missed it incidentally Skip Matthews was with Intel for 25 years)

Initially in charge of development of equipment for manufacturing at Intel, Mr. Matthews has worked the last eight years marketing Intel's flash memory products. He has focused on innovative audio and photographic applications for flash memory during the last four years.

Mr. Matthews stated, "I was attracted to e.Digital because they were the first to adopt flash memory in an audio recorder. There is great potential for further application of e.Digital's technology in Internet music players and even more advanced audio applications such as speech-to-text and text-to-speech systems."

He continued, "In the twenty years since the advent of the PC, people have typed, read, and clicked. In the next twenty years we are going to talk and listen to handheld devices that interact with our PC's. The biggest areas for growth are in the technology that helps make that possible."

Mr. Matthews is a graduate of Duke University, and received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Southern Illinois University with Dr. Cal Meyers. He was a National Science Foundation Post-Doctoral Fellow and chose to work under Fred Bordwell at Northwestern University. Mr. Matthews joined Intel in 1974 after completing his post doctorate program.

"We are very pleased to have Skip Matthews serve on our Board," said Fred Falk, president and CEO of e.Digital. "He shares our vision of a world connected by interactive portable products. Skip's high-level industry contacts and experience in cultivating strategic relationships with major technology companies will greatly benefit e.Digital. He brings a wealth of knowledge that will prove invaluable in extending e.Digital's leadership in providing engineering services and embedding our patented MicroOS™ file management system into PC and Internet-compatible handheld devices."
