All the automakers joined together to defeat Lemulson's patents on barcode readers and their use in manufacturing. It just took longer to collect royalty payments from them. A lot of these companies already signed license agreements with Rambus so they would have to pay for rdram and logic chip production anyway. It could take 10 years to resolve patent issues unless these companies get this behind them.
