It's an open standard, John. Anyone can build to it. SNDK has one hell of a lead. That is the classic definition of a King.

So my question is, How long will they have it sewn up, especially when we know that everybody and his Uncle is going into the business?

The answer is, of course, that nobody knows. If I buy SNDK, I will watch it, just like I watched Intel, and get out the minute they get pressured on price.
