At least in the latter cases, the barriers provide some limit to the list of potential competition.

John, these are the type of discussion that we need to continue to have. Every company takes patents on its processing methods, etc, so this always comes up.

If a company is so strong that we get a lot of argument that it is some sort of hybrid G/K,such as SNDK, this means that it is probably a very strong King that is well worth investing in.

The difference, to us investors, between a King and a Gorilla is how strongly we hold them, and what "red lights" we watch for to tell us to get out.
