Mr. Garvin Weber reports
CompuSoft Canada has signed a letter of intent for a distribution agreement with German-based AmdoSoft Systems. The agreement involves all TraceAbility and TraceAbility OnLine products and product modules, which make up the TraceAbility Solution Series. AmdoSoft is to represent these products throughout Europe.
"The people at AmdoSoft have done their homework and have determined that significant opportunities for the TraceAbility Solution Series exist in Europe. As we have experienced here in North America, they have not found any significant competition," says Garvin Weber, president, CompuSoft Canada Inc. "As part of the preparations for multinational distribution, we will ready our product line with multilanguage support capabilities."
"TraceAbility is an outstanding product that has already been proven in North America. Many European customers in the metal industry require a solution which will address their quality assurance document management specifications. TraceAbility's precision engineering, comprehensive functionality and solid vision made it our number one choice for that industry," said Mario Griffith, president and chief executive officer, AmdoSoft Systems.
With four offices across Europe and one in Canada, AmdoSoft Systems has a broad base of technical and business talent. An excellent mix between these two areas provides a well-rounded approach in meeting (and exceeding) client's needs and expectations. AmdoSoft creates and sells world-class software across Europe. More about AmdoSoft is available at www.amdosoft.com.

Mr. Ted Power reports
CompuSoft Canada has reached an expanded agreement with one of Canada's leading distributor of metals, Russel Metals Inc. (www.russelmetals.com) The contract is for an additional 10 branches to become TraceAbility Enabled and consists of licensing, training, implementation and support of TraceAbility software and related services. Eight TraceAbility installations occurred in November and an additional two were completed in January. Russel Metals is now using the software at 13 of its 37 Canadian service centre branches from Vancouver, B.C, to St. Johns, Nfld.
Russel Metals operates one of the two largest steel service centre operations in Canada based on revenue and tons sold. During 1998, the company provided steel processing and distribution services to a broad base of over 14,000 end-users through a network of 37 Canadian and eight U.S. locations.
"Russel Metals began utilizing our TraceAbility software in a few branches in 1998. The expansion of our install base in this competitive organization demonstrates the strength of our customer relationships and the confidence the industry is showing in choosing TraceAbility to be the industry standard," said Ted Power, chairman, CompuSoft Canada Inc.
The TraceAbility Solution Series is a unique software technology specifically designed for managing the quality assurance documentation of metals industry clients engaged in distribution, and/or fabrication. CompuSoft management estimates that the market for TraceAbility, TraceAbility Online and related services in the U.S. and Canada is 31,000 installs, equalling approximately $1-billion.
