Whoa, where to start. First, EMC is STORAGE, not PC centric anything. Next, storage revenue is growing faster, percentage wise, than is server revenue. More pertinent to this thread, EMC is growing faster than Sun.

They are no longer an industry leader in technology

They aren't? I believe they are considered the leader in storage, in all regards. More exactly, their software is what distinguishes them from all others and has them on top. Kind of like Sun's Solaris, RAS, service, etc. supposedly fuels Sun.

Why else would anyone want to deal with MSFT at this time.

So Microsoft is dead meat and not an important company any more?
