Unfortunately that is often the time it takes a MM to respond even if he does intend to give you the fill, so there really is no choice but to wait.

I've not yet been able to determine how quickly cyberexchange will route to another MM if the primary one pulls his bid/offer. Its also frustrating to see an ECN pop at your price while you are still waiting for the MM.

I don't think there is any perfect solution- but my gut instinct tells me that they could be a little smarter still.
