Tenchusatsu,

found a bit concerning P3s and dual processor support.

pc-info.hypermart.net

intel.com

In using the two pieces of information, it looks like only slot 1 processors are dual processor capable.

FC-PGA P3s do not have dual processor support yet.

Is slot one still to be abandoned soon would be one of the necessary questions. And of course, will FC-PGA P3s have dual processor capability in the future?

If so, could this affect any of AMD's change of SMP plans, as in who really needs dual Athlons or dual P3s or dual Celerons?

Xeons are the preferred server chip, and AMD is focusing on Mustangs?

TIA

steve
