More on the saga of tiny China Unicom.

Another investment banker told the Hexun Zhongjin Wang that if foreign investors decide to resort to legal means, Unicomƒ??s IPO plans would never be realized.

The banker went on to say that unless Unicom is willing to make major concessions ƒ?? for example, heavily borrow to buy out its investors and then repay the loans out of the capital raised from its IPO or sell large quantities of stock to foreign investors at a low price ƒ?? the companyƒ??s public offering will run into many problems.

If Unicom does not appeal to the capital markets, however, the companyƒ??s opportunities to rapidly expand and gain market share will dry up, the newspaper reported.
