Ahhhh....I understand. I wonder if we are addressing different issues.

Schwab explained that they would retain a portion of value increase to cover the "short interest" in my account. I don't expect the value of my account to go up equal to the change in Q....but I do expect it to go up. To me that translates as leverage, no? That, as you say, is pretty good.

My big concern is getting called on expiry. If Q is at 220 or more on that date...don't I say goodbye to my shares at 220?

How can one get called before expiry?
