Hans - <re: SOI is ignored at Intel> This premise is false. Mark Bohr even commented publicly around the time frame when IBM made its SOI announcement that Intel had looked at it, and would probably continue to look at it. Intel would be silly not to be looking at advanced process techniques. However, if Intel's bulk Si processes happen to outperform SOI processes, or the cost / performance trade off is dubious, well, I'm sure you get the picture. PB
