<<The "No HS" message means that the client can't connect to the History Server machines ... Spoke with our network folks this morning and there weren't any reports of problems with the History Servers, so I'm not exactly sure why you were getting that message. I'll look into it and see what I can find out. Is it working now?>>

Jim,

All was find this morning re: Daily charts and NO HS status. This error occurred both times I logged in yesterday. Once in the am and the other around midnight. So the way I see it the server was down the entire day.

Another problem is that there isn't anyone around on the weekend (or after hrs) to contact when issues like this arise. I find this unacceptable. I pay for a product and it should work 7x24. If it doesn't, I should be able to get someone on the technical staff to resolve. I also can't believe that no one on the tech staff is aware of the outage on the History Servers. I would expect your co. to have software installed that would send alarms to your techies whenever a server went down. Do they? If DBC can't verify whether a down HS server then they have a hole that needs plugging.

I look forward to any info on this. It's not like a made it up. BTW - Is there a place to get defintions on other messages (like NO HS)?

Regards,
bazan
