I think the warming trend is pretty much agreed upon; the dispute is over the cause. Some say greenhouse gases, others a natural cycle. I haven't seen enough evidence to be convinced by either, but I don't like the idea of dismissing the former contention out of hand because it is economically inconvenient. Nor do I like the idea of dismissing the latter contention out of hand because it is politically incorrect.

I could probably learn enough to form a coherent opinion if I had time to read more of the research - the rancor poster here is unlikely to convince me in either direction. But I don't have the time, or, in all honesty, the inclination.
