With release 99 out "W-CDMA" has a short life. ETSI & ARIB are where its at. UWCC not too distracting. <g> 3GPP does have a few more bodies to concern itself with than 3GPP2. On the other hand, and ultimately, 3GPP2 has to be concerned with what 3GPP sorts out, and this is very important to the future of Qualcomm, IMO. IMT-2000 is about global interoperability and roaming. The very guys Q wants to attract as new users are very focused on this.
