Vodafone AirTouch Plc climbed as media reports bolstered
optimism the world's largest wireless phone company will win its
battle to takeover Germany's Mannesmann AG.
``I'm sure there'll be further activity as we see global
players jockeying for positions,' said Geoff Miller, who oversees
700 million pounds ($1.1 billion) as senior investment advisor at
Exeter Investment Management and said he's been buying shares of
Vodafone. ``If Vodafone does succeed -- and we think it will --
the shares will likely go significantly higher
