Seems my life lately is off topic.

Last night my wife and I attended a Montessori informational meeting to try and determine if we will place the oldest in the program when he enters kindergarten next fall.

It was quite interesting and I think the method of teaching and the importance they place on developing your own discipline to do the tasks that need to be completed would be good for him. He could use a bit of work on the discipline and respect areas, as most any four year old could.

I also like the part where each child is on their own path and not be either held up by the others, or holding up the others.

Of course, those sold on the program are going to be its most avid salespeople, so the meeting we attended certainly was scewed in the one direction, but I think we are leaning that way. Man, kindergarten roundup is in a week and within a month, six weeks we will know what is going on. Amazing....hard to beleive he is going to be five already.
