I agree, the yen is a mystery. I don't understand its levity (so to speak). Henry began a dialogue about Japan a month or two ago on the thread, and then it sort of petered out. We should begin another one.

Also, in one of your earlier posts, you said that a strong dollar would certainly hurt exports. Well, perhaps to some extent. But I wonder how much these days, since there is so much international manufacturing. I'm not sure it hurts nearly as much as it used it, except of course in places like the farm belt.
