Dreadful news. The sympathy of the country goes to the families of the dead.

All airplanes are a collection of hundreds of systems and thousands of moving parts. They are engineering marvels, but once in a while, something goes wrong.

The plane is in 600 feet of water, so recovery will be difficult. We might have to settle for just the black boxes.

A tragedy.
