of COURSE they would tout their product. but tollgrade only TESTS lines. and line testing simply uses TDR (time domain reflectometry) which is a fairly standardized technique for checking line noise. Everyone uses TDR for noise checking (including NHC and TSTN)

what TSTN and NHC do that TLGD doesn't is remote provisioning and switching of services.

and what NHC does that TSTN doesn't is any-to-any switching (vs TSTN's xDSL switching) and NHC has a larger switching matrix and greater line-in capability.
