Recently, USVO announced a partnership with Urbana & Eagle Wireless (EGLW) to be a part of set-top-box production in Canada. See release at... quoteserver.dogpile.com USVO uses wavelet technology for video but the standard, as I understand it, is MPEG. Note the recent deal announced this AM that EGLW has signed with Sigma (SIGM). Go to.. moneycentral.msn.com or if you cannot access it there try www.dogpile.com and enter EGLW or I suppose the article can be read on SI. I hold a sizable number of shares of USVO but admit I am concerned about the MPEG standard. As I look closer to the Sigma/ Eagle release, I notice the deal seems to be about DVD while the USVO deal is about video on demand. Is there anyone that thinks these are different technologies and therefore, Sigma is not a competitor or should I be concerned about Sigma and other companies using MPEG?
