Capellas' "no comment" did seem pretty strange... I can't see any possible synergy between CPQ and HWP - they have hugely overlapping product lines - but who knows? At the time that Rosen was closing on the DEO replacement, Carly was one of the possibilities mentioned, and Capellas was COO at that time - rumor was that Capellas and Carly go along pretty well, although she obviously did not take the job.

Maybe there is some other deal in process - different than a merger or takeover but still substantial... I am mystified...
