Paul: so there's a chance of cooperation after Jan., 2001 <g>, since that's when the next millenium really starts? But seriously, do you find this divide disconcerting, given what you know of Intel strategies, successful and less successful? What ever happened to Wafer Scale Integration? thanks in advance for your thoughts....BTW, Intel could still INVEST in Sandisk on the open market, thereby implementing a hedge strategy. There ARE ways of benefitting from your enemy's success, however distasteful it may be. Gary
