many of the parabolic stocks will get their come-uppance. but the way the indices, e.g. the NDX are calculated and manipulated by constant additions and deletions ensures an upward bias in same. that's one of the reasons why 70% of all listed stocks can be in a bear market without it showing up in the indices. NDX gets re-weighted daily...and i have rarely seen an index with such a fast-spinning revolving door as that one.
