I bought a book in 1975 that was written from L. Ron Hubbard. I thought it simply was for understanding problems and how to deal with them. I soon realized it was very deep but still did not realize it was based on a religion. It may not have been at that time.
A year or so ago the Scientologists moved into our stste and started an inhouse treatment program for AAs and NAs. Seems the other Churches were up in arms because of the treatment methods that they employed to coax the toxins out of the body.
Other than that, I know little about them. John Travolta is a member. He seems like a nice person in interviews I have watched, but I don't know if they ascribe to the holy birth or the ascension of Christ..
