...Gilders been right on it lately, check out TERN. GG said that TERN would be the beneficary of the AOL merger and whamoo!!!

Since TERN has no presence in the US market, how, prey tell, will it benefit from the AOL-Time Warner merger? Everyone, including my cat, knows Time-Warner wants DOCSIS and only DOCSIS.

TERN has one DOCSIS product which they've OEM-ed and cannot make a dime on and consequently have not sold to anyone. In addition to which, they've not submitted their S-CDMA to CableLabs and don't have anything even remotely ready to receive certification.

What's Gilder doing, selling into his own hype? Hey, it's been done before. I was at an Alex Brown Conference a few years back when TCSI had lost a contract and had dropped from the high 20s to mid-teens. Crossing the lobby with an AB analyst, I asked if they'd sold anything --- considering they'd reiterated a BUY on the drop. He turned to me with a sarcastic laugh and said, "Hell no. We not only sold, we shorted."

That's the day I lost my innocence.
