tx for your reply... I didn't mean to imply that you came up w/ 50dma and BB :-)
what I meant was the combination of all those elements (write straddle, 50dma, trading band) into a single strategy. but it sounds like you assimilated all those elements together for yourself (more or less).

i have not seen croft's book, but that it will now catch my eye if i do see it.
