rudedog: I just thought of another word we use for "toilet" : "ablutions". It is strange, isn't it how so many of ours are from the Latin:

latrines
ablutions
lavatory
aqua secreta

I suppose that is the English way (more a 19th century way) of "sanitizing" it. The Americans have a different approach.

How about instead of trying to guess how much HWP will pay for COMPAQ we list the alternate names for toilets with the culture in which it is used. I'll start the list with my next post.
