Charred,

Not that simple, is it? First of all, PFG hasn't paid US25mil just yet. The bulk of it is not due before 2 or 3 years from now which gives them ample time to play out the scenario.

As the analyst Qd quoted saying, if they discover 7 million ounces, this property would be worth about US700mil. As Enigma said, majors are willing to pay up for huge tonnage deposits at low cost of production since they are the only economic ones in this gold market. The US25mil then becomes irrelavent, doesn't it.

If they don't discover anything substantial on this grassroots property, and it is grassroots since it has not been explored yet, then they just trash the property and it will have cost them a few hundred thousands and cost of drilling. Big deal. Isn't it worth the risk?

Simple isn't it. I guess the only thing you haven't figured out is how to evaluate the share price of a company which owns such impressive assets since I guess you would also be participating in this one. Well, that's the only thing that matters to me.

Good luck, Nexus.
