Read the editorial in today's WSJ.. They discuss why they think AG will hold to a .25 basis point move.

It primarily has to do with not wanting to create a panic in the Euro. Already we're seeing capital flight from Europe to the US and a 50 basis point move would make the US rates double those of Europe as well as leading to higher energy costs that could create inflation (oil is denominated in $US).

Certainly an interesting take that helped calm many of my fears about a .50 hike in the rates. AG would be NUTZ if he acted so rashly.
