CNBC 2/1/00 - 2:51:30 PM .....But it is not going generate the hundred percent gains that it always as in past. Ron: If you own it do you sell >> it i don't op it so -- i think i would have sold on the news, here it probably a reasonable hold. Ron: All right go to joe california, thanks for being with us today. >> I would like your short and long-term outlook on advanced micro devices. >> Sure, amd is actually an interesting story a little more speculative, they are number two player versus intel. Which has such a powerful market position great management, but the attract shup in amd that, one, they have shown execution, always, recently which they haven't in the past, and, secondly, in a very hot market for semiconductors, these guys have some legitimate capacity, and it is not all the cpthaw they have buy that they sell they are not solely competing it is intel they also produce flash memory other types of chips that are in very high demand, so, i like amd on a risk reward basis. >> Stock hard to play isn't it? >> It is hard to play, you can't sleep that you will well at night. But, it is a decent risk reward i think. http://www.tveyes.com/database/expand.asp?ln=765868&key=amd
