One of my favorite chilhood memories was going up to a bungallow colony every summer in the Catskill mountains. The main house that was "down the hill" used to be a farm house during the civil war. And to think that plumbing and electricity was inserted as an afterthought. There were no TV's or radios. Our fun consisted of climbing trees, building go-carts out of milk cartons, the hideouts in the woods, the treehouse, fishing down the river and catching minnows with cut up 50 pound potato sacks, building rafts, singing on the swings and having camp fires at thing that would last to the early morning. I remember the smell of the fresh cut grass and the dew of the early morning. Most of all, I remember the indeleble friendships that I made who's memories will last for a lifetime.....

Life was safe, simple and happy.
