What a bizarre statement, considering I have never said any such thing. I stated:

Of course, it was during the 1980's that major restructuring began, when Washington embraced markets as superior to political direction - against that advice of those who wanted us to follow the Japanese model. The Great Boom that has endured is the result. That is the model that has been emulated throughout the world.

So I stated precisely the opposite of what you contend. What you apparently are unwilling to accept is that the 1980's represented the sea change, when the idea of central planning was discredited and markets embraced. That flew in the face of more than 50 years of conventional wisdom and prevailing policy, its success fomenting a revolution in thinking that has spread around the world.

I find it amusing that you speak on so many issues in which you are so apparently inept or disingenuous.
