Quoting the Yahoo board: Tuesdays action on NCDI by: trend_bro 2/1/00 5:12 pm Msg: 1477 of 1482 "as to the previous post, I highly doubt that it was due to shorting of the stock. There was an anxious seller in the market who abolutely wanted to get out and in a hurry. On level II, I noticed that there were using ARCA, ecn platform, to offer the stock. Towards the end of the day they kept on hitting the bids to get out. taking 100 to 500 shares bids, this selling was at the bids on downticks, so i cant imagine how this could be shorts. Anyone needing to exit this stock would hit the bids occasionally while offering the stock at the same time. The stock drops, they lay off, the stock comes back and they hit the bids again. Today however, because they were in a huge rush to get out before the bell, they were hitting the bids all the way down. Im just guessing thats what happened, and I expect a rather nice rebound tomorrow. Does anyone know when the earnings release is?"
