I still don't understand this issue, could you help clear this up for me?
I hold 700 shares in my IRA. The account is titled Prudential Securities C/F
<my name>. I own the shares long, no margin. Broker has the certificate,
which I guess is in street name.

Can Pru lend these shares to the shorts? Thanks. Richard.
