"capacity creates the demand" - no I am not saying this. I am saying capacity cannot keep up with demand right now and customers have few other sources to go to for SiC - at least economical sources.

Yes I agree. My point is that CREE already has close to a 12 month backlog already (someone correct me if this figure is too high). In short their capacity is maxed out already just focusing on the LED and the C3 (gem stone) markets.

I don't believe SiC can move in a big way into the power switch, blue laser etc.. markets until capacity is increased (CREE is working on this and making great inroads) or other mfg. companies license CREE's patented SiC growing/mfg. processes from CREE.

Demand is increasing supply as we speak. That is why I believe CREE's tornado(s) are effectively 'at the door'. I am not sure the point you are trying to convey. Are you arguing that a) CREE is not in a tornado? or that b) CREE and SiC won't enter a tornado or .. ?
