The slide showing the evolution paths of CDMA and GSM to 3G leave outs HDR!

strategisgroup.com (go to page 14)

The CDMA path shows "CDMA" going to "IS-95B 64kbps" then to "IXRTT 144kpbs" and then to "3G 2mbps".

The GSM path shows "GSM/TDMA" going to "GPRS 115 kpbs" and then to "EDGE 384 kbps" and also an alternate route to EDGE skipping GPRS, then from EDGE to "3G 2mbps".

But what about 3X and HDR???? HDR is 2mbps... is HDR = 3G??? If not, then when the CDMA path goes to HDR which is 2mbps, why go from there to "3G" at all? Was the chart designer in denial in leaving out HDR? Also, can GSM go to 3G without HDR? Also, does CDMA going to HDR require 3X?
